Data Privacy

This website can be used at any time without the need for users to provide personal data. Insofar as personal data is collected on this website, it shall be provided voluntarily by the user. Personal data shall not be disclosed to any third parties if the user has not provided their express consent.

Insofar as personal data is collected on this website, this data shall always be collected within the provisions of Swiss data protection law. Insofar as personal data is collected, this data privacy statement provides information on the nature, scope and purpose of collecting and using personal data.

Despite the utmost care taken to protect your data, data transmission via the internet always entails risks due to security holes. It is therefore impossible to ensure comprehensive data protection at all times.

Data transfer (server log files)

When you access our website, data is automatically transferred from your browser to our web server. This data includes anonymous access data such as the date and time, browser type, volume/type of data accessed and your IP address. This data is stored separately from any other data collected during your visit to our website. This data does not allow the identification of any individual person and is collected solely for logging user behaviour and for statistical purposes. Once the data has been evaluated accordingly, arrangements are made for the data to be deleted.

We use cookies on our website both for quality assurance purposes and to expand the functional scope of our internet offering. Cookies are text files that are stored on your computer and are used to determine the number of page visits. We use this information solely for the purpose of improving our website.

Personal data

We use and collect, to the extent necessary, your personal data for establishing, creating the content of or amending a contractual relationship between you and us.

This data is not generally passed on to third parties, nor is any related information shared with third parties. By order of the competent authorities, we are obliged to provide information on personal data insofar as this is necessary for the purposes of criminal prosecution or defence or for the fulfilment of other statutory tasks.

We collect and use your “usage data” insofar as necessary. Usage data is data that allows you to use our internet offering and is also used for billing purposes. This data provides us with information on not only the time and extent of your usage but also your identification characteristics.

Note that we are permitted to generate usage profiles – i.e. a collection of data detailing the history of visits to our website – for promotional, market research or website optimisation purposes. These usage profiles do not contain any personal information and are not combined with any other data collected by us, which means that individual persons cannot be identified through the amalgamation of different data. You have the right to revoke at any time consent to your data being used in this way.

Newsletter data

When you order the newsletter offered on our website, we will ask for your e-mail and save your IP address. No further data is collected. This data is used exclusively for the purposes of sending the requested information and is not forwarded to third parties.

You have the right to revoke at any time consent to your data and e-mail being stored and to their use for sending the newsletter; you can do this using, for example, the unsubscribe link provided in each newsletter.

Right to information

Note that you have the right to request information from us regarding your stored data and, in the event that any data is incorrect, to arrange for it to be locked, deleted or corrected. Such information can be provided by telephone or e-mail.

Amendments to the data privacy statement

In the event of any future amendments to our data privacy statement, the amendments shall always be disclosed on this website.

Data privacy statement – Google Analytics

Our website uses the services provided by Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. Analysis of your website usage is enabled by means of “cookies”, which are stored on your computer, generate information on your usage behaviour and send the data to Google Inc. Under normal circumstances, a shortened version of your IP address is sent to the Google servers, although in exceptional cases the full IP address may also be sent. Google uses this information on our behalf to create a report on user behaviour on our website. The IP address identified by Google Analytics is not combined with any other Google data. If you do not want any cookies to be stored on your computer, you can change the appropriate settings in your browser, although this can result in your being unable to benefit from the full scope of our website.

If the IP addresses have not been anonymized anyway (IP masking) through addition of the code “gat._anonymizeIp ( ) ;”, the collected data is processed in accordance with the relevant legal provisions laid down in the Federal Data Protection Act and Google’s own terms of use, which means that the forwarding of personal data to Google is not permitted.
